A Natural Handmade Product

I started Mountain Ranch Soap because I liked the idea of natural handmade soap, but didn't care for the "flavors" it came in. The colors were unnatural for a soap and the scents were muddy and indistinct. I like my soap plain and the scent strong and distinct.

Mountain Ranch Soaps are made with virgin olive oil, cold pressed natural (certified) coconut oil, food grade cocoa butter and avocado oil. The scents are from pure essential oils: Lime, Lemongrass, Lavender, Tea Tree, Cedarwood, and Rosemary, to name a few. This soap contains no preservatives. The good news is that there are no chemicals to irritate or sensitize your skin. The bad news is, this soap won't last forever. Within a year of purchase the scent will be almost gone and the soap will start to get spots from the oils oxidizing. Sooner, if not kept in a cool dry place. This soap is naturally high in glycerin, a humectant. This means it will attract water. This is good for your skin; it keeps it moist. But if it's left in a soap dish full of water, the soap will attract all the water in the soap dish and become mush. Unfortunately, these are traits of natural handmade soap. If you want a soap that will last for years and stay hard in the soap dish, they are available. Mountain Ranch Soap doesn't make them, however.
